Who we are
Neon Team ("we", "us") operates neon-tm.com and provides search, design and web engineering services. For the purposes of the GDPR we act as the data controller for information collected through this website.
Where we process data on behalf of a client — for example, analytics from their website inside our platform — we act as a data processor, and the client's own policy governs that data.
What we collect
We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.
Why we collect it
- To answer your message and discuss possible work — our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries
- To perform a contract, once you become a client
- To understand how the site is used and improve it — consent, via analytics cookies
- To keep the site secure and diagnose faults — legitimate interest
We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we don't send marketing email unless you explicitly ask to receive it.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working and can't be switched off. Analytics cookies are optional and only set after you accept them.
What we use
- A privacy-focused analytics tool for aggregate traffic statistics
- Google Search Console, which reports on search performance without identifying visitors
Who else sees your data
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email provider, and our analytics tool. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and may only act on our instructions.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We disclose it to third parties only where legally required.
How long we keep it
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also ask for your data in a portable format.
Write to and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Client project data
Clients receive access to Algorithm, our analytics platform. Data inside it — rankings, crawl results, content analysis — relates to the client's own website and belongs to the client.
We use it only to deliver the agreed work. Aggregated, anonymised patterns may inform our published research, but never in a form that identifies a client or their site without written permission.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. For material changes affecting how we use your data, we'll say so more prominently.
